Daya Kaur Bharj

Daya Kaur Bharj is an 18-year-old writer, director and actress. Recent projects include creating content and articles for an online web series to promote diversity in media, including acting in and assistant directing five short horror films (Made A Difference Entertainment), directed the official music video for The Wolf (State of Georgia), Assistant Producer in a short film Regression (Straw Cat Productions), Camera Operator and Sound Technician for a short documentary Fagee, which is a part of an award winning online web series 1000 Londoners, wrote and directed a short film adaption of Fight Club in the style of Wes Anderson and her own original short comedy film Maya’s Arrested Development and participated in Rifco's writing workshops for young comedy writers, her scripts Taxi Driver and Child Genius were selected to be filmed and produced for Canvas.

Daya made the grand finals of Media Trust’s Vlogstar challenge and was interviewed on BBC World News to spread awareness for Maladaptive Daydreaming. She’s currently working on her YouTube channel, her own writing projects and her debut spoken word piece as a part of the Rifco Associates program.
