The British Asian Festival took place on Fri 4 May - Sun 6 May 2018 at Watford Palace Theatre

Rifco Theatre Company and Watford Palace Theatre presetned three days of British Asian arts and culture.

Play: Southall Park 

A rehearsed performance of new play about two brothers in Southall by Rifco Associate Amarjit Bassan.


Comedy: Pinky & Preetho's Comedy Night

The fabulous Masala Queens - Pinky and Preetho host a night of stand-up comedy with a brilliant line-up of British Asian comedians.

Children's: Bhangra Tots

Fun dance sessions for children aged 2 - 6 with Aashiyana Arts.


Family: Crafts with The Make Escape

Get creative with The Make Escape and their Bollywood inspired craft workshop.


Spoken Word: with Apples and Snakes

An evening full of creativity with acclaimed and emerging British Asian poets.

Play: Pyar Actually

After its sold-out run last year, Sukh Ojla’s hit comedy drama about love and missed opportunities returns to Watford.

Short story readings from past finalists of The Asian Writer prize.


Film: English Vinglish

A screening of the film English Vinglish in honour of Bollywood actress Sridevi. 



South Asian food from Gupta’s Bombay Street Food and light snacks and drinks will be available to purchase at the Watford Palace Theatre Café/Bar.
