Chair of the Board

After an incredible period of growth under the excellent stewardship of our previous Chair and current Executive Team, leading touring theatre company Rifco is looking for a new Chair of the Board.

This is an exciting time to join us. Rifco’s fundraised income has grown significantly over the past five years, with two increases in investment from Arts Council England 2015-18 and 2018-22, and the securing of multi-year grants from two large private foundations. Five new posts have been created within the organisation within the same period.

Artistic Director, Pravesh Kumar, has planned an ambitious programme for the next five years. We are looking for someone who is ready to take on a period that includes a year-long celebration of our twentieth anniversary, a move in to commercializing our work, a search for larger premises and a serious push from board networks to increase and diversify income. There is much to do and the Chair and the Board’s role will be vital in stewarding this process. A new Chair will also have the opportunity to support us in shaping a strategy reflects these ambitions.

The Board also has a crucial role to play in sharing their networks and advocating for the company to a wide variety of individual and commercial partners. We look forward to welcoming a leader who fully embraces these goals and is a committed advocate of Rifco’s ambitions to deliver exciting, vibrant and challenging work to its audiences, developing and supporting British Asian artists, developing new audiences and voices within the sector.
