Pravesh Kumar

Artistic Director & CEO

Pravesh founded Rifco Theatre Company in 1999, the same year he made his directorial debut with his play Bollywood - Yet Another Love Story. He has gone on to achieve critical acclaim for Rifco’s productions: Airport 2000, Meri Christmas, Where’s My Desi Soulmate?, Break The Floorboards, Happy Birthday Sunita and Miss Meena & the Masala Queens. 

Pravesh wrote and directed new musicals Britain’s Got Bhangra and Laila The Musical and plays It Ain’t All Bollywood, The Deranged Marriage and There’s Something About Simmy. He was Associate Director on the new musical Wah! Wah! Girls, which opened in the West End as part of World Stages London for the Olympics 2012.

Before setting up Rifco, Pravesh worked extensively in the commercial Indian Film industry (Bollywood) for many years, working as an Assistant Director and Writer. He wrote and produced numerous films for Indian television and worked with some of the largest film studios in Mumbai. He was nominated for the Satyajit Ray Short Film Award in 2009 for his first short film – Gods on Mountains.

Jenny Roberts

Executive Director

Jenny has over 30 years’ experience working in theatre and arts management and most recently she has spent three years working as a freelance consultant. This has included two extended periods, as Special Projects Directorat Chichester Festival Theatre in 2013/14 and as Interim Executive Director with Shobana Jeyasingh Dance in 2014/15. In addition, her project work during this time has included fundraising, recruitment and evaluation for a range of clients.

From 2007-2013 she worked for Arts Council England as a Relationship Manager Theatre based in Brighton working alongside a wide range of organisations and artists over her six year stay. Prior to this she was Administrative Director at Oxfordshire Touring Theatre Company, an organisation specialising in new writing for audiences in rural areas nationally.

Sue Lloyd

Head of Development & Partnerships

Sue has worked in the theatre industry for over 25 years, predominantly in Development, Sponsorship and Events. She has held senior Development and Sponsorship roles for the Ambassador Theatre Group, First Family Entertainment, the Birmingham Repertory Theatre and Cambridge Arts Theatre; has managed income generation projects for the National Theatre, Arts Quarter, Polka Theatre and The Other Palace (Really Useful Group) and managed the USA patrons and events programme for Shakespeare’s Globe. She has produced and co-produced work at the Brighton Fringe, London’s Park Theatre and a number of regional theatres and - in a two-year career blip - worked with the AIG team on the global rollout of their Manchester United sponsorship benefits. She fully intends never to work in football again!

Holly Gladwell

General Manager

Holly joined Rifco in April 2015 having worked for over ten years in Theatre. She trained as a Stage Manager at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and has been involved in productions in London as well as touring the UK and the rest of the world stage managing Plays, Musicals and Events before moving over to a career in Arts Management.

She joined Rifco having spent four years at the Royal Court Theatre as their Administrator and has a keen interest in new writing. Other companies Holly has worked for include: The Young Vic, Only Connect, nabokov, On-Theatre, Propeller, The Old Vic, BBC, Music Theatre Wales, Bronowski Productions, QDOS. She is also on the Board of Trustees for Human Rights charity Ice and Fire.
